HardcoreLedger Uploader v1.0
==============================

The tiny auto-uploader for WoW: Forever hardcore runs. No account, no
password, nothing installed -- this script IS the whole program.

RUN IT
------
  Double-click HardcoreLedgerUploader.bat (or right-click the .ps1 ->
  "Run with PowerShell"). Leave it running while you play. Ctrl+C stops it.

  First run asks: start automatically with Windows? Say yes and forget it.

WHAT IT DOES
------------
  Watches your WoW SavedVariables file. After you play and type /reload
  (or log out), it uploads your current run to the HardcoreLedger
  leaderboard at https://hardcoreledger.pages.dev -- automatically.
  Deaths you witnessed go up too, so the memorial wall is community-powered.

  After every upload it writes obs.txt next to itself -- point an OBS text
  source at %APPDATA%\HardcoreLedgerUploader\obs.txt for a live run
  overlay on stream.

  Every ~30 minutes (only while the game is closed) it stamps the latest
  addon package version into your save file, so the addon can tell you
  when a new release is out -- no network access needed in-game.

WHAT IT SENDS
-------------
  Only the run summary the addon saved: character name, class, level,
  faction, guild, mode (hardcore/self-imposed), challenges, playtime,
  close-call count, alive-or-dead, death report summary, and witnessed
  deaths. Nothing else on your PC is read or sent.

  Your leaderboard identity is a random per-PC client ID (stored in
  %APPDATA%\HardcoreLedgerUploader\client_id.txt) plus your character
  name. No IP-based identity.

IF YOUR WOW IS ELSEWHERE
-------------------------
  Edit the $wowBeta line at the top of HardcoreLedgerUploader.ps1 to point
  at your install folder (the one containing _classic_beta_).

TROUBLESHOOTING
---------------
  "Couldn't find HardcoreLedger.lua" -> log in with the addon installed,
  then type /reload in-game (SavedVariables are written on reload), then
  run the uploader again.

  Blocked by Windows -> run:
    powershell -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File "HardcoreLedgerUploader.ps1"

NOTE: only hardcore-mode runs upload. Self-imposed runs are tracked locally but never sent to the leaderboard.
